Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Architecture and Engineering to lead a dynamic team supporting a long-standing food distribution client. The ideal candidate will oversee all architectural and engineering efforts, fostering innovation and growth both within the client’s organization and across our team. This role offers an opportunity to drive key initiatives, develop scalable solutions, and contribute to the client’s ambition to double their size over the next three years. The position is a hybrid work arrangement based out of the Dallas office, with daily on-site collaboration required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years in software design, development, and enterprise-level architecture
• Proven experience with AWS, serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, SNS), and cloud-native solutions
• Strong background in .NET Core, C#, Angular, Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, and JSONb data management
• Expertise in CI/CD practices, including tools like SonarQube, DataDog, Terraform, and TDD
• Leadership skills with a track record of managing large, diverse technical teams including onshore, nearshore, and offshore engineers
• Excellent client relationship management skills, especially with C-level executives
• Ability to lead technical strategy, foster innovation, and drive team performance
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

• Lead the architecture and engineering efforts for a large, complex enterprise environment
• Develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions aligned with business goals
• Manage and grow a technical team across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations
• Build strong relationships with client leaders, including IT and executive teams, serving as a trusted advisor
• Provide technical mentorship, guiding team members in best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement
• Oversee daily team operations, objectives, and project milestones
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical strategies
• Drive innovation, adopting new technologies and practices to support client growth and scalability
• Ensure technical documentation, testing, and deployment processes meet high standards
