Company Description

Titan Robotics is building the universal platform for connecting, training, controlling, and orchestrating robots from multiple manufacturers.

We believe the future of robotics will not be defined by a single robot manufacturer. It will be defined by platforms that can work across different robots, sensors, end effectors, and AI models — enabling companies to deploy and scale heterogeneous robot fleets without rebuilding their entire technology stack for every machine.

Our platform brings together the robotics and software layers required to make this possible, including teleoperation, data capture, AI model training, deployment, fleet management, APIs, and multi-robot coordination.

We are now looking for a Co-Founder Chief Robotics Officer to join us at the earliest stage and help build the company, technology, and team from the ground up.

Role Description

This is a founding-level role, not a conventional executive position.

As Co-Founder & Chief Robotics Officer, you will be responsible for shaping Titan Robotics' robotics technology strategy and building the technical foundations of our multi-robot platform. You will work directly with the founding team to define the product, architecture, technology roadmap, and engineering organisation.

You will operate across the full robotics stack — from physical robot integration and control to teleoperation, data collection, AI training, deployment, APIs, networking, and fleet orchestration.

You will help determine how Titan Robotics supports robots from different manufacturers and how those robots can be trained, controlled, coordinated, and deployed through a common platform.

The role requires someone who is comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on engineering. In the early stages, you should expect to design systems, integrate robots, solve difficult technical problems, work with customers, recruit engineers, establish technical standards, and help build whatever is necessary to make the company succeed.

Responsabilities

  • Define and lead Titan Robotics' overall robotics technology strategy.
  • Work with the founding team to define the company's product and technical roadmap.
  • Architect systems that integrate heterogeneous robots, sensors, end effectors, and AI models.
  • Lead the integration of robots from multiple manufacturers into a common platform.
  • Develop and oversee systems for teleoperation, data capture, imitation learning, model training, deployment, and robot control.
  • Establish approaches for coordinating multiple robots operating simultaneously in shared environments.
  • Develop robust approaches to collision avoidance, safety, synchronization, and fault handling.
  • Work closely with the software/platform team on APIs, networking, data pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud/edge systems.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging robotics and AI technologies where they provide a meaningful advantage.
  • Build the robotics engineering team and establish its technical culture and development practices.
  • Work directly with customers and strategic partners to understand real-world robotics requirements.
  • Represent Titan Robotics in technical discussions, partnerships, demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Help turn prototypes and research concepts into reliable systems that can be deployed commercially.
  • Participate in fundraising and help communicate the company's technical vision to investors and partners.
  • Take ownership of problems outside your immediate area when required — as expected of a founding team member.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Deep expertise in robotics, including robot control, system integration, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of AI applied to robotics, particularly imitation learning / learning-from-demonstration approaches such as ACT, Diffusion Policy, or related methods.
  • Very strong knowledge of VR, teleoperation, and human-to-robot data capture.
  • Experience integrating multiple types or manufacturers of robotic systems.
  • Strong understanding of the software/platform layer connecting robots to the wider system, including APIs, networking, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with multi-robot coordination, collision avoidance, or other safety-critical robotics problems.
  • Ability to work across disciplines rather than focusing exclusively on hardware, controls, AI, or software in isolation.
  • Experience taking robotics systems from concept or prototype through real-world deployment.
  • Strong technical leadership and the ability to make architectural decisions under uncertainty.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on when required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with engineers, customers, partners, and investors.

Highly Desirable

  • PhD or equivalent advanced experience in Robotics, AI, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working at a robotics company or robotics startup.
  • Experience building robotics platforms, SDKs, or systems intended to support multiple robot types.
  • Experience with industrial or commercial robotics deployments.
  • Experience building or leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience with robot learning, VLA/VLM-based robotics, imitation learning, or foundation models for robotics.
  • Experience with safety-critical or autonomous multi-robot systems.
  • Experience working with VR/AR hardware for robot teleoperation.
  • Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.

Qualifications

More than a list of qualifications, we are looking for a builder.

You should be excited by the idea of starting with a difficult, largely unsolved problem and building the technology, team, and company around it.

You should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to make decisions without having all the information, and willing to get your hands dirty when something needs to be built or fixed.

You do not need to have worked with every robot, every AI model, or every technology in our stack. What matters is that you understand robotics deeply, learn quickly, and can work across the boundaries between robotics, AI, software, and physical systems.

Most importantly, you should want to build a company, not simply take a job.

Compensation

This is a founding co-founder position.

The role is compensated through a substantial founder-level equity stake reflecting the responsibility, risk, and long-term contribution expected from the position. Cash compensation will be introduced as company funding permits.

The exact equity structure will be discussed directly with suitable candidates and will reflect the level of commitment, experience, and contribution to the founding team.
