VP of Engineering - Suave

The VP of Engineering – Suave is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing the engineering organization and driving the technical vision of the platform. This role includes managing and mentoring engineering teams, ensuring high-quality software development practices, and collaborating closely with product and business stakeholders to deliver features that align with company goals. Day-to-day responsibilities involve setting engineering standards, prioritizing and tracking projects, guiding architectural decisions, and fostering a culture of innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement. The VP of Engineering will also be accountable for resource planning, performance management, and building scalable systems that support Suave’s growth in the pay-later and retail technology space.

Qualifications

• Strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with experience building and guiding high-performing engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development, with the ability to review technical designs and code and make informed architectural decisions.
• Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, and delivery of complex initiatives across distributed teams.
• Proven Product Development experience, collaborating with product, design, and business stakeholders to ship customer-focused features.
• Background in fintech, e-commerce, or payment systems is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
• Experience scaling platforms and organizations in a fast-growing company.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
