About the Opportunity

We are searching to appoint a Director of Technology Delivery & Transformation on behalf of a highly innovative investment management organisation embarking on the next phase of its technology evolution.

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this is a rare opportunity to become the CIO's trusted partner and successor, leading enterprise-wide technology delivery while helping shape the long-term technology strategy of a business that has positioned technology, data and AI at the centre of its competitive advantage.

Unlike many organisations within Financial Services, this business has already modernised its technology estate. Operating within a cloud-native environment, it has eliminated legacy infrastructure, embraced modern engineering practices and built a sophisticated data platform that is now enabling the next generation of AI-driven capabilities.

As the organisation continues to scale, this appointment will play a critical role in building a larger, more mature technology function while ensuring delivery excellence remains a strategic differentiator across the business.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a technology delivery leadership position.

It is an opportunity to influence executive decision-making, shape organisational capability and help define how technology enables the future direction of the business.

Working alongside an experienced CIO, you will provide leadership across enterprise delivery, portfolio governance, organisational capability and technology transformation, while helping the organisation accelerate its ambitions across artificial intelligence, intelligent automation and data-driven decision making.

This appointment is viewed as a key component of the organisation's long-term leadership succession strategy, offering a clearly defined pathway towards Deputy CIO.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across the enterprise technology delivery portfolio, ensuring strategic initiatives are executed with pace, quality and transparency
• Partner with the CIO and Executive Leadership Team to translate strategic priorities into executable technology roadmaps
• Lead complex technology, cloud, data and AI transformation initiatives across the organisation
• Build predictable, measurable delivery capability through robust governance, portfolio management and executive reporting
• Drive organisational maturity across delivery, resource planning, vendor management and operational excellence
• Champion modern engineering practices, Agile delivery and continuous improvement
• Support the evolution of AI-enabled operating models and enterprise automation initiatives
• Develop and scale a high-performing technology delivery capability aligned to future business growth

Executive Profile

We are seeking an accomplished technology leader with a proven track record of delivering enterprise transformation within modern, cloud-first environments.

You will bring experience leading complex technology organisations while balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.

Experience may have been gained within Financial Services, Asset Management, FinTech, SaaS, Digital Commerce, Payments or other technology-led organisations recognised for innovation, engineering excellence and high-velocity delivery.

The successful individual will demonstrate:

• Executive leadership across enterprise technology delivery and transformation
• Strong commercial judgement with exceptional stakeholder management capability
• Experience delivering cloud, data and AI-enabled transformation programmes
• Ability to influence at Executive Committee and Board level
• A passion for building high-performing teams and scalable technology organisations
• A collaborative leadership style with the resilience to operate within fast-paced, evolving environments

Remuneration

• €160,000 - €180,000 DOE
• Performance Bonus
