Technical Team Lead

We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Team Lead to guide a tight team of two engineers working across our Performance product.

This is a 70% leadership / 30% hands-on role working with React, Node.js, and AWS. If you love setting tech direction, mentoring devs, and using AI tools to speed up delivery safely, this one's for you.

What you’ll do:

• Lead & Mentor (70%): Own technical direction and day-to-day delivery. Partner with Product to turn ideas into build-ready specs and help two devs grow through coaching.
• Stay Hands-On (30%): Build scalable web apps, design APIs, review code, and tackle complex production issues.
• Drive AI-Native Dev: Guide how we use AI tools (like Claude Code or Codex) to write better code faster without cutting corners on quality or security.
• Own Release Quality: Keep our codebase clean, run progressive rollouts, and ensure safe, stable deployments.

What you bring:

• Strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and AWS.
• Solid background in system architecture, API design, and secure coding practices.
• Smart judgment when using AI-assisted dev tools (prompting, orchestrating workflows, and reviewing AI output).
• Great communication skills and a passion for mentoring.
• Bonus: GraphQL experience.
