Program Director, GT School (Remote) - $400,000/year USD
Indexed description
gt.school is reimagining what education should be for high-ability students. Our 2 Hour Learning approach condenses the academic day into concentrated, mastery-oriented sessions—creating space for students to tackle meaningful challenges. We're now prepared to develop a physical prototype campus that introduces the components currently absent: leadership training, competitive peer environments, a performance-oriented culture, and the community these students have lacked.
You will oversee the creation, validation, and public launch of this prototype campus—with the objective of establishing it as the blueprint for a national system. You'll simultaneously expand our virtual GT Anywhere program alongside the existing team. This involves piloting real-world programming, generating parent interest, establishing a sustainable culture, and creating the frameworks necessary for scaling.
We require someone with the drive and authority of a founder. Someone who recognizes that strong concepts are meaningless without disciplined execution. Someone capable of transforming a clear vision into a school that parents advocate for enthusiastically—and students are eager to join.
What You Will Be Doing
- Creating and piloting scalable programs that go beyond academics—emphasizing leadership development, autonomy, and competitive environments
- Establishing and validating a physical prototype campus, including workforce structures, facility planning, and operational systems
- Crafting parent communication strategies, market positioning, and expansion frameworks to support growth
- Establishing, documenting, and replicating quality benchmarks and cultural practices across all future locations
- Serving as the visible representative of the prototype—building awareness through media engagement, events, and strategic partnerships
- Operating a conventional school with traditional classrooms, full teaching staff, and all-day schedules
- Accommodating families seeking watered-down gifted programs featuring AP courses and limited rigor
- Implementing gradual improvements within established systems—we're not "improving" schools, we're building alternatives
- Prioritizing shallow engagement indicators—we focus on substantive outcomes and rigorous learning, not mere participation
- Working entirely remotely—you'll have scheduling flexibility, but must spend approximately 1 week monthly in Austin to maintain operational connection
Basic Requirements
- Created and scaled a high-impact venture from the ground up (preferably involving physical operations or education). We are referring to at least 1M USD in annual revenue under your ownership
- Substantial, direct understanding of gifted students—acquired through family experience, professional background, or personal history
- AI First mentality — Preference for prioritizing AI as the primary approach to problem-solving, strategic decisions and generating work output at scale.
- Demonstrated capacity to communicate a persuasive vision and turn doubters into advocates
- Located in the U.S., with capacity to travel to Austin regularly (at least 1 week per month)
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
They're on a mission to disrupt the broken education system and unleash the true potential of gifted minds. Forget the one-size-fits-all approach that leaves brilliant students bored and disengaged.
This school has tossed the rulebook and created a modern learning environment powered by AI and guided by dedicated mentors. Their personalized approach accelerates learning - 2-6 times faster than traditional classrooms.
GT School students explore their passions, develop critical thinking skills, and learn to innovate.
Because that's where genius lies.
GT School is where gifted minds turn potential into power.
