Country Manager - Morocco (DMC)

Magic Travels is a Destination Management Company specializing in premium and tailor-made travel experiences for international tour operators and travel agencies. As part of our expansion, we are opening a brand-new DMC office in Morocco and are looking for the person who will build and lead it.

Who should apply (please read carefully)

This role is exclusively for experienced travel-industry professionals. You must have held a senior role in a DMC or inbound tour operator. Applications from candidates without prior experience in a DMC or the inbound travel industry, or from junior profiles, will not be considered.

About the role

This is a founder-style leadership role. As Country Manager, you will set up our Morocco operation from the ground up - entity, team, supplier network and product - and run it as a profit center. We are looking for a senior DMC professional who knows the destination inside out and has a deep command of contracting, production, supplier relationships and the premium/luxury travel market.

What you will do

• Build the Morocco office from scratch: structure, hiring, processes and day-to-day operations
• Negotiate and secure contracts with hotels, transport companies, guides and other suppliers
• Develop a portfolio of premium and tailor-made travel products and experiences
• Own the commercial relationship with our international (notably European) source markets
• Manage the local P&L, budget and supplier costs
• Recruit, train and lead the local team

What we are looking for

• Non-negotiable: proven senior/leadership experience within a DMC or inbound tour operator, with a minimum of 5 years in the travel/tourism industry
• Deep knowledge of the Moroccan destination and an established local network of suppliers and partners
• Strong contracting and production experience (hotels, transport, guides, etc.)
• Track record in product development and high-end / tailor-made travel
• Experience working with European or international source markets
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable building something from the ground up, hands-on and business-driven
• Fluent in French and English (Arabic is a strong plus)
• Based in Morocco (Casablanca or Marrakech) or willing to relocate
