About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data & AI Solution Architect to join our Middle East & Africa ICT organization, reporting to the Head of Data & AI.

This leadership role is responsible for defining the technology vision, enterprise architecture, and technical governance for Data, Analytics, AI, and Generative AI initiatives across the region.

You will combine deep technical expertise with strategic stakeholder management to deliver scalable, secure, and business-driven solutions while leading internal and external technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

1) Technology & Architecture Leadership

• Define the regional Data & AI technology vision, architecture principles, and roadmap aligned with global standards.
• Own end-to-end architecture for strategic Data & AI initiatives across MEA.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reusable technical solutions.
• Establish architecture standards, reference models, and best practices.

2) Data & AI Platforms

Lead architecture across:

• Enterprise Data Platforms
• ETL / ELT & Streaming
• Cloud Data Platforms
• BI & Advanced Analytics
• AI / Machine Learning
• Generative AI & LLM solutions
• RAG, Vector Databases & Prompt Orchestration
• APIs & Microservices
• Data Governance, Metadata & Data Quality

3) Technical Governance & Delivery

• Lead architecture reviews and technical governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Ensure solution quality, security, scalability, resilience, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Identify technical risks and drive mitigation plans.
• Support prioritization based on business value and delivery feasibility.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical challenges.

4) Business Partnership

• Partner with business leaders, product teams, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Advise senior stakeholders on technology decisions, architecture options, and delivery approaches.
• Communicate complex technical topics in a clear business language.
• Support business case development and value realization.

5) Operating Model & Leadership

• Strengthen the regional Data & AI operating model, governance, and delivery standards.
• Promote best practices across Agile, DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, documentation, release management, and architecture governance.
• Lead internal teams, external partners, and technology vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

6) Security & Compliance

• Ensure all solutions comply with cybersecurity, privacy, governance, and regulatory standards.
• Embed Responsible AI, model governance, identity management, auditability, and secure data-sharing principles into every solution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, data engineering, AI/ML, analytics, or technology leadership.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Data & AI solutions.
• Strong background in cloud-native architecture and modern data platforms.
• Experience working across business, IT, cybersecurity, governance, and external partners in multinational environments.
• Experience in regional or global organizations is highly preferred.
• Professional English is required; French is a plus.
• Relevant cloud, enterprise architecture, AI/ML, data engineering, or security certifications are considered an advantage.
