Your new company

Our client is a large Queensland Government organisation looking to appoint an AI Solution Delivery Lead to an initial contract through to 24/09/2027. This role is based in Brisbane northside, with 50% work from home flexibility available. This is an opportunity to join a digital enablement environment focused on the safe, scalable and practical adoption of AI across a large enterprise setting.

As the AI Solution Delivery Lead, you will provide technical leadership across the design, development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions. This role will suit someone who can work across architecture, engineering and delivery, translating business needs into secure, scalable and supportable AI solutions.
You will lead and support delivery across platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, AWS Bedrock and related cloud services. You will also support the development of agents, copilots, automation workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge grounding and integration patterns.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building AI-enabled solutions, agents and copilots
• Translating business requirements into technical designs and solution patterns
• Leading proofs of concept, pilots and production-ready implementations
• Working across Azure, AWS, APIs, enterprise data sources and knowledge repositories
• Supporting responsible AI, privacy, security and governance requirements
• Producing technical documentation and supporting operational readiness
• Mentoring developers, solution builders and business teams on AI delivery practices

To be successful, you will bring strong experience in AI solution delivery, cloud platforms and technical leadership. This is a hands-on technical role that will require the ability to design, build and guide implementation, not just oversee delivery.
You will ideally have experience across:

• Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry
• AWS Bedrock or cloud-native AI services
• AI engineering, agent development, prompt engineering or RAG patterns
• Solution architecture, integration architecture or software engineering
• API integration, enterprise systems and data-driven solution design
• Security, governance, privacy and responsible AI practices
• Technical leadership, mentoring and stakeholder engagement
• Previous Queensland Government or broader government experience would be highly regarded. You must hold valid Australian work rights to be considered for this opportunity.
