Software Development Team Leader

Are you a people-first engineering leader who loves rallying a team just as much as staying close to the code? Based in our Banyo office (near Brisbane Airport), we are looking for a Software Development Team Lead to steer our in-house engineering group at Lite n’ Easy.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will bridge technical execution and business strategy. Stepping into a vibrant "brownfield" environment, you will lead, mentor, and empower a close-knit team of 5 developers—championing open communication, high trust, and continuous improvement.

Your New Role

• Lead & Mentor: Inspire a team of 5 talented developers, fostering an inclusive culture where professional growth and collaboration are front and centre.
• Stakeholder & Team Alignment: Act as the central communication anchor, partnering closely with the Applications Manager, ICT Project Manager, and key business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable engineering plans.
• Raise the Bar: Establish and model best practices in web and application development, driving a shared commitment to writing clean, reliable code across the full development cycle.
• Drive Delivery: Guide project timelines from concept to launch, seamlessly balancing day-to-day operations with strategic initiatives through flexible Agile and structured delivery.
• Champion Innovation: Ensure application reliability, security, and performance while creating an environment where team members feel heard and encouraged to share fresh ideas.

About You

You bring a robust Microsoft technical foundation paired with at least 5 years of leadership experience where your communication and people skills set you apart. You thrive in fast-paced commercial environments, love supporting smaller teams, and know exactly how to bring out the best in people

• Exceptional Communication & Leadership: Outstanding written and verbal skills are a must. You excel at mentoring devs, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating complex tech into plain business language.
• Backend Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience in Microsoft .Net (C#, .Net Core, VB.Net) and SQL Server.
• Frontend Proficiency: Strong capabilities in React.js, JavaScript, jQuery, and advanced styling using CSS/SASS and grid-based frameworks.
• Advantageous Experience: Exposure to D365, Salesforce integrations, or mobile development (.Net Maui) is highly regarded.
