Overview
Our client is seeking a Technical Lead to lead an AWS-native platform team and drive the adoption and optimisation of AWS-native services across the organisation.
The role is responsible for aligning platform development priorities with business objectives, leading a team of platform engineers and ensuring cloud services deliver value, performance and a strong developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a clear vision for the use of AWS-native services, including Platform as a Service offerings.
- Create a roadmap for AWS platform adoption and optimisation, prioritising initiatives based on business value.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand evolving needs and align AWS-native services accordingly.
- Build, manage and mentor a team of platform engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team and wider platform function.
- Ensure team members have the necessary skills and training to use AWS-native services effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS services, PaaS offerings and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure and cost-effective AWS solutions.
- Oversee the delivery of AWS-native services and ensure they meet service level and performance requirements.
- Identify and address performance issues and bottlenecks.
- Monitor and optimise cloud resource utilisation.
- Enable self-service access to AWS-native services.
- Create intuitive and user-friendly ways for users to interact with the platform.
- Provide documentation and support resources.
- Develop strategies to optimise cloud spending and reduce costs.
- Establish key performance indicators to measure AWS service adoption and utilisation.
- Track and report on measures including cost savings, platform uptime, developer satisfaction and service utilisation.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
