The Role
We’re hiring a senior technology professional to play a key role in the next stage of the company’s growth. This is a broad position with exposure across the business. You’ll work with senior stakeholders, customers, and technical teams, helping turn complex requirements into practical solutions while contributing to the development of the wider organisation.
The ideal person will enjoy variety, autonomy, and being close to the technology rather than operating purely at a strategic level.
What You’ll Do
- Provide technical leadership on high-priority projects and customer opportunities.
- Help evaluate requirements and determine the best approach to solving complex problems.
- Work alongside commercial teams where technical input is important.
- Partner with engineers on challenging projects and contribute directly when appropriate.
- Help improve the way technical projects are planned, delivered, and supported.
- Develop and mentor engineers and other technical professionals.
- Work with senior leadership to identify opportunities to improve the technology organisation.
- Build trusted relationships with important customers and external stakeholders.
- Help resolve difficult technical issues and ensure the right people are involved.
- Contribute to decisions around technology, product direction, and future capabilities.
- Introduce practical processes and standards as the business continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in software engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
- Experience working at a senior level within a technology company.
- A track record of solving complex technical problems in real-world environments.
- Comfortable communicating with engineers, executives, customers, and commercial teams.
- Experience working in a startup, scale-up, or similarly entrepreneurial environment.
- Some experience managing, mentoring, or developing technical talent.
- Commercial awareness and an ability to understand the wider business context.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
- Based in London or able to work regularly from London.
- Curious about new technology and particularly interested in the development and practical application of AI.
