Founding Engineer

New York City (Onsite) Up to $250,000 Base Salary + Meaningful Equity US Citizens or Green Card Holders Only


We're partnering with a well-funded early-stage startup building next-generation AI-powered software. Having secured strong backing and early market traction, they're looking for a Founding Engineer to join the team in New York and help shape the company's product, technology, and engineering culture from day one.


This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founders, own critical technical decisions, and play a key role in building a category-defining business.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and launch product features end-to-end.
  • Architect and scale backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Develop high-quality frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
  • Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices.
  • Work closely with founders and customers to rapidly ship new products and features.
  • Help establish and grow a world-class engineering organisation.


Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience building and shipping products in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Comfortable owning projects from concept through to production.
  • Strong product instincts and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Desire to make a significant impact as an early employee.
