Our 2 Hour Learning framework condenses the academic school day into concentrated, mastery-focused sessions—creating space for students to tackle meaningful challenges. Our next phase is the development of a physical model campus that integrates what's been missing: leadership development, competitive peer environments, a culture rooted in performance, and genuine community.

You will own the design, testing, and public launch of this prototype campus—positioning it as the foundation for a national system. In parallel, you'll expand our virtual GT Anywhere offering alongside the existing team. This includes designing real-world programming, generating parent interest, establishing lasting cultural norms, and creating scalable implementation frameworks.

We're looking for someone with founder-level drive and legitimacy. Someone who knows that vision without execution is worthless. Someone capable of translating conviction into a school that parents advocate for—and students are eager to join.

What You Will Be Doing

• Creating and piloting scalable programs beyond core academics—centered on leadership development, autonomy, and competitive dynamics
• Establishing and validating a physical prototype campus, covering staffing frameworks, facility planning, and operational systems
• Crafting parent communication strategies, market positioning, and expansion frameworks to accelerate growth
• Establishing, documenting, and replicating quality benchmarks and cultural practices across all future locations
• Serving as the visible representative of the model—building awareness via media appearances, events, and strategic alliances

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Operating a conventional school with traditional classrooms, teaching staff, and full-day programming
• Serving families looking for watered-down gifted programs focused on AP coursework and low rigor
• Pursuing incremental reform inside legacy institutions—we aren't improving schools, we're creating alternatives
• Optimizing for surface-level engagement numbers—our focus is meaningful outcomes and substantive learning, not busywork
• Working entirely remotely—flexibility exists, but expect to be in Austin approximately 1 week per month to stay operationally grounded

Innovation Fellow Key Responsibilities

Design, test, and scale a high-performance educational model for gifted learners—beginning with a single prototype campus and extending to a national footprint.

Basic Requirements

• Built and scaled a high-impact venture from scratch (bonus if it involved physical operations or education). We are talking about at least 1M USD yearly revenue owned by you
• Deep, personal understanding of gifted students—whether through family, professional experience, or lived reality
• AI First mentality — Inclination to prioritize AI as the default solution for problem-solving, decision-making and work output generation at scale.
• Proven ability to articulate a compelling vision and convert skeptics into believers
• Based in the U.S., with ability to travel regularly to Austin (minimum 1 week/month)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
