Department Management/People Leadership
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Define IT performance metrics based on overall business objectives.
- Cultivate and empower a more highly skilled, motivated, and effective IT organization
- Lead the strategy, reliability, modernization, and performance of global infrastructure, network, cloud, workplace technology, core systems, and enterprise platform environments.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and site leadership to ensure operational technology environments at manufacturing plants are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business continuity, production, and modernization needs.
- Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions, integrations, infrastructure investments, and operational technology priorities that strengthen resilience, scalability, reliability, and business value.
- Own the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, including information protection, identity and access management, cyber risk management, third-party risk, vulnerability management, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Establish cybersecurity governance, policies, controls, and awareness programs that reduce risk while enabling practical, secure ways of working across the enterprise.
- Partner with manufacturing and operations leaders to ensure cybersecurity expectations extend appropriately to operational technology and plant environments.
- Partner with executive and functional leaders to understand business strategies, operational pain points, process gaps, and emerging capability needs.
- Translate business priorities into an enterprise technology roadmap that balances value creation, risk reduction, scalability, integration, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead AI transformation through the technology roadmap by identifying high-value use cases, enabling responsible AI governance, partnering with functions on adoption, and embedding automation and intelligence into business processes.
- Document, design, harmonize, and optimize enterprise processes through technology, data, AI, and automation-enabled solutions.
- Establish strategic service provider partnerships and review major contracts for computing, information technology, cybersecurity, data, AI, and related services.
- Oversee the development, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications, integrations, platforms, and changes to existing systems.
- Build and mature enterprise Master Data Management capabilities, including ownership models, data governance, data quality standards, stewardship processes, and accountability across functions.
- Develop analytics, reporting, and decision-support capabilities that provide trusted insights, forward-looking metrics, and performance visibility for executive and functional leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or related field is required, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of IT leadership
- Minimum of 5 years business leadership experience
- Experience as a CIO and business functional leader in a global environment
- Experience in a global manufacturing environment
- Experience in the chemical industry preferred
- Experience with ERP software, preferably SAP
