Finatal is partnered with a private equity-backed utilities business operating in a highly regulated sector. Following a period of strong growth and continued acquisition activity, the company is seeking a Head of IT to lead technology strategy, governance, cybersecurity, architecture, and integration across the group.

Working closely with the leadership team, you'll lead a lean technology function and oversee a network of strategic technology partners, helping to build a scalable and secure platform capable of supporting ongoing growth and future acquisitions. This is an end-to-end ownership role at the heart of the company's value creation agenda, with significant exposure to transformation, integration, and operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience working within a private equity-backed business is essential.
• Previous experience as a Head of IT, IT Director, CIO or equivalent technology leadership role.
• Experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong background in IT strategy, governance, cybersecurity, and operating model development.
• Experience managing MSPs, vendors, and outsourced technology environments.
• Exposure to M&A, technology integration, and business transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS environments, ISMS, and compliance frameworks.
• Commercially minded with experience managing technology budgets and supplier relationships.
• Hands-on, pragmatic leader who is comfortable operating within a lean team.
• Fluent English required; German language skills beneficial.
