Director of Engineering

We're looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead multiple software engineering teams responsible for building and enhancing enterprise SaaS products used by thousands of customers.

This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys scaling engineering organizations, partnering closely with Product and Architecture, and driving the successful delivery of complex software platforms. You'll help shape engineering strategy while mentoring leaders and creating an environment where teams can consistently deliver high-quality software.

What You'll Do:

Lead High-Performing Engineering Teams

• Lead multiple engineering teams, including Engineering Managers and Senior Engineers
• Build, coach, and develop engineering leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Manage distributed teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations
• Drive hiring, succession planning, and talent development initiatives

Drive Engineering Execution

• Own delivery for multiple enterprise software products and platforms
• Partner with Product Management to develop strategic technology roadmaps
• Ensure projects are delivered on time while balancing scope, quality, and technical risk
• Improve engineering processes to increase predictability, efficiency, and product quality

Provide Technical Leadership

• Guide the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable SaaS applications
• Partner with Architecture teams on long-term platform strategy
• Champion engineering best practices around code quality, testing, security, observability, and operational excellence
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges

Collaborate Across the Business

• Work closely with Product, QA, Architecture, and business stakeholders
• Help define project priorities, timelines, and execution strategies
• Coordinate with external vendors and consulting partners when needed
• Ensure successful product releases and continuous platform improvements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 7+ years leading engineering organizations, including experience managing Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders
• Proven success leading large, distributed engineering teams
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale SaaS platforms
• Strong understanding of Agile development and modern software delivery practices
• Experience working in multi-technology environments

Technical exposure to technologies such as:

• C#
• ASP.NET / MVC
• SQL and relational databases
• JavaScript
• HTML5
• CSS

You'll also bring:

• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align engineering execution to company goals
• Experience driving organizational change and continuous improvement

Nice to Have:

• Experience leading products spanning multiple technology stacks
• SaaS or enterprise software background
• Experience with distributed systems, integrations, or event-driven architectures
• Experience working within insurance, financial services, identity verification, or other regulated industries
• Exposure to AI-powered products or intelligent automation
