Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at SkaleChat is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and executing the company’s technology vision and roadmap. Day-to-day, the CTO will lead software development efforts, guide architectural decisions, and ensure that the platform is secure, scalable, and maintainable. This role includes overseeing product development cycles, collaborating closely with product and business stakeholders, and implementing effective project management practices to deliver features on time and within scope. The CTO will build and mentor the engineering team, establish technical standards, and continuously refine the IT strategy to support growth and innovation. The position requires hands-on involvement in key technical initiatives while balancing long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications

• Strong experience in Software Development and Product Development, with a track record of building and scaling modern web or SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in IT Strategy and Architecture, including designing secure, scalable systems and aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
• Demonstrated ability in Project Management, leading cross-functional teams and managing development lifecycles in an agile or lean startup environment.
• Background in leading remote engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and fostering inclusive collaboration.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and modern development tooling and processes.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
• Experience in early-stage startups or high-growth environments is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
