Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technology strategy for the China office, aligning with global architecture standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Lead the design, development, and operation of high‑performance, low‑latency trading systems, including order management, execution engines, and exchange connectivity.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end technology stack: real‑time market data feeds, algorithmic trading infrastructure, risk management platforms, and post‑trade systems.
- Build and manage a high‑calibre engineering team (software development, SRE, infrastructure, data) to support the firm’s quantitative research and trading activities.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity, business continuity, and compliance with China’s financial regulations (e.g., CSRC, PBOC, data protection laws).
- Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices – cloud (AWS/Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), CI/CD, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and observability.
- Act as the primary technical interface between the China office and global technology teams in New York / London / Hong Kong/Singapore.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, hardware acceleration, low‑latency networking) to maintain a competitive edge in the Chinese market.
