The Role

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will own LazyCy’s technology strategy and Engineering organization, working closely with the leadership team to turn technology, data, and AI into sustainable competitive advantages. You will be responsible for the overall technology architecture, product engineering, AI & Data Platform, infrastructure, security, and Engineering team, ensuring technology can scale with LazyCy’s business growth. This role requires both strategic thinking and technical depth — someone who can define the technology vision while maintaining high standards of engineering excellence and execution.

What You Will Do

• Define and execute Technology Strategy & Roadmap aligned with business and product goals.
• Own system architecture, technology stack and engineering standards, ensuring scalability, security, reliability and performance.
• Lead the end-to-end Product Engineering & SDLC, balancing product speed with technical quality.
• Build and scale AI & Data capabilities, driving AI-first product development, automation and data-driven decision making.
• Own Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD and system reliability.
• Drive technology R&D, innovation and continuous improvement, including technical debt management.
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing Engineering organization, including recruitment, competency, career path and succession planning.
• Partner with Product, Growth, Account Management, BD and Operations to translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
• Own Engineering performance, technology risks, security and technology investment, and report strategic technology direction to the leadership team.

What We’re Looking For

You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Technology, with proven experience leading Engineering teams or technology organizations.
• Strong technical expertise in Software Architecture, Distributed Systems, Cloud, Microservices, API, Database, DevOps and Security.
• Solid understanding of Data Platform, Analytics, AI/ML and Automation.
• Proven experience building and scaling products, platforms and Engineering organizations.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, project management, technology budgeting and risk management.
• Experience in SaaS, AdTech, MarTech, E-commerce, Retail Media or Data/AI is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of Amazon DSP / Amazon Advertising is a plus.
