Role Description This full-time Stylist / Educator role is based in Stafford with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some duties to be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering high-quality hairdressing services, consulting with clients, performing cutting, coloring, and styling techniques, and maintaining excellent salon standards. The role also involves planning and delivering training sessions, coaching junior team members, and supporting education programs to develop skills across the salon. The Stylist / Educator will help create learning materials, provide feedback to trainees, and stay current with trends, techniques, and professional products. Collaboration with the wider team, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and contribution to a positive, inclusive salon culture are essential aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Strong technical hairdressing skills, including cutting, coloring, styling, and finishing techniques.
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring in a salon or education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and learners professionally.
- Good organizational skills, including lesson planning, time management, and record-keeping for training activities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of hair trends, products, tools, and industry best practices.
- Recognized hairdressing qualification (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) and, ideally, an education or training qualification.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice and a respectful approach to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both on-site in Stafford and remotely when required, with proficiency in basic digital tools for training and communication.
