The Opportunity
This role serves as a dual-support consultant across RIS Operations Fraud Oversight and Risk Controls. The position is responsible for supporting risk-based control testing, fraud case analysis and determinations, fraud trend monitoring, fraud mitigation control reporting, audit/compliance/risk partner coordination, and control environment oversight across RIS Operations supported businesses, including US Pensions, Structured Settlements, and Income Annuities. The role partners closely with RIS Operations, Service, US Risk, GTO Risk, Audit, Compliance, Privacy, and other business partners to identify risks, evaluate control effectiveness, support issue remediation, and strengthen fraud and operational risk mitigation practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a dual-support consultant across RIS Operations Fraud Oversight and Risk Controls, connecting fraud findings, control testing results, audit feedback, and operational risk themes into coordinated mitigation actions.
• Plan, execute, and document risk-based control testing across RIS Operations processes, including assessment of control design, operating effectiveness, evidence sufficiency, exceptions, root cause themes, and remediation needs.
• Conduct thorough fraud case analysis, evaluate supporting documentation and account activity, reach well-supported fraud determinations, and document rationale in a consistent, audit-ready manner.
• Monitor fraud activity, control results, and operational risk indicators to identify trends, emerging risks, root causes, repeat themes, and potential control gaps.
• Support operational risk management activities, including identification, documentation, escalation, management, and resolution of risks and issues aligned to organizational and enterprise requirements.
Required Qualifications
Self-driven with a passion for developing and driving risk best practices that produce value-add results
Strong attention to detail, analysis and problem resolving skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively; work independently; use good judgement
3+ years experience in risk or Fraud a plus
3+ years experience in Audit or Compliance a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the financial services/retirement/insurance industry, RIS operational transactions and processes supported (preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with execution of first line of defense review/ or operational risk testing and risk management principles
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to analyze fraud cases, identify fraud indicators, document determinations, and escalate sensitive or complex matters appropriately.

The expected salary range for this position is $59 ,000 - $99,300 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
