Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to manage our corporate compliance, regulatory applications, and permit processing. As a key member of our team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Business Permit Renewals, Disputes and Closure: 

    • Manages end-to-end local government unit (LGU) registrations, secures and renews mandatory commercial licenses, tracks regulatory validity, and coordinates with the different divisions of the LGUs to ensure legal business operations;

    • Prepare, file, and track new and renewal applications for LGU business permits, barangay clearances, fire safety certificates, and sanitary permits;

    • Monitor expiration dates for all local and national licenses to prevent penalties or business interruptions;

    • Coordinate directly with local government offices, inspectors, and regulatory bodies during audits or site verifications;

    • Act as the primary point of contact for handling and resolving all business permit disputes, including managing assessments and audits from Local Government Units (LGUs). You will be expected to navigate disputes efficiently, including those stemming from operational issues or stakeholder complaints;

    • Maintain organized physical and digital files of all official receipts, certificates, and compliance documentation; and

    • Keep track of changing local ordinances, tax codes, and municipal submission requirements.

  • DTI Permit Management:

    • Handle the end-to-end processing of all Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) permits required for corporate marketing activities. This includes securing initial permits for every new marketing campaign and processing amendatory permits for any campaign adjustments;

    • Monitoring of the marketing campaigns and ensuring that every campaign has a DTI permit; and

    • Maintain organized physical and digital files of all permits and submitted documents.

  • BIR Compliance & Research:

    • Research and identify the specific requirements and processes for Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) permits across multiple corporate entities;

    • Lead the application and maintenance process for critical BIR documentation, including but not limited to:

  • Certificates of Registration for head offices, branches, and facilities.

  • Authority to Print (ATP) for official receipts and invoices, proactively monitoring usage to secure new ATPs before current supplies are exhausted.

  • Computerized Accounting System (CAS) applications, updates, and amendments.

  • Documentation & Submission: Collate, rigorously review, and organize all required documentation prior to submission. Ensure all applications are filed accurately and permits are released on time to prevent business disruption.

  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Finance Director and/or Group Tax

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • With at least three (3) years of experience in the compliance field

  • Strong technical knowledge on the Local Government Code (“LGC”) and the different revenue ordinances of the LGUs

  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous and detail-oriented

  • Maintains a systematic filing process for all regulatory compliance 

  • A thorough understanding of Philippine regulatory agencies (DTI, BIR, LGUs)

  • Ability to seamlessly manage compliance requirements for multiple business entities simultaneously

  • Team player with strong analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills as well as an independent way of working

  • Can deal with and communicate with the different government agencies, such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue, among others

  • An eye for detail along with excellent analytical and research skills is a must
