Designs, builds, and maintains front-end user interfaces and reusable components for enterprise websites using the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Management System.
Key Responsibilities
- Component Development: Build responsive AEM components, templates, and client libraries using HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and JavaScript.
- HTL / Sightly Integration: Use AEM's HTML Template Language (HTL) to bind front-end layouts with backend data.
- Design Translation: Convert UX/UI wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, accessible digital experiences.
- Authoring Customization: Configure and extend AEM Touch UI dialogs and authoring widgets.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize web applications for speed, mobile responsiveness, SEO readiness, and Core Web Vitals.
- Collaboration: Work alongside backend AEM/Java developers, QA teams, and content authors in Agile sprints.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Core Front-End: Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern CSS preprocessors (Sass/LESS).
- AEM-Specific: Hands-on experience with AEM Sites, HTL/Sightly, ClientLibs, and component dialog configuration.
- Build & Tooling: Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Gulp, npm) and package management.
- Workflow & Quality: Experience with Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
- Experience: Typically 3+ years in front-end development, with at least 2+ years focused specifically on AEM implementations.
