Senior R&D Solid Insulation Material Expert - Power Transformer

- Own material requirements, specifications, qualification plans, test methods, acceptance criteria and risk-based change controls for transformer solid materials.
- Lead material screening, supplier qualification, laboratory validation, prototype trials and factory implementation.
- Evaluate material-fluid compatibility, moisture behavior, aging, corrosion, dimensional stability and dielectric, thermal and mechanical performance.
- Integrate material properties into dielectric, thermal, structural, sealing and corrosion-protection design decisions.
- Lead or support root-cause analysis for insulation damage, partial discharge, leakage, coating failure, corrosion, contamination and mechanical degradation.
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot solid-material characterization equipment, including calibration, fixtures, safety compliance and documentation.
- Ensure laboratory readiness through equipment qualification, measurement-system control, consumables, spares, service support and data traceability.
- Hands-on experience with operation, method development and maintenance of equipment for electrical, mechanical, thermal, chemical, microscopic, surface properties measurements like DSC, TGA, UTM, Salt spray, volume/surface resistivity, Track/Arc resistance, DFT, hardness tester, conductivity tester etc.
- Establish operating procedures, equipment logs, preventive-maintenance plans, safe practices, training records and NABL-aligned lab management systems.
- Prepare and improve technical standards, production standards, approved material lists, material specifications and factory guidance.
- Support the organization's intellectual property strategy by contributing to IP reviews, preparing clearance documentation, and identifying potential IP risks and opportunities within R&D activities.
- Collaborate globally with R&D, Engineering, factories, Quality, SCM, suppliers, universities and research institutes, while contributing to patents, publications and knowledge transfer
