We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Developer to join our dynamic tech hub. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the creation of sustainable and maintainable solutions, working in close loop with end-users. In this role you will be supporting DHL Data & Analytics, focusing on leveraging your skillset to bring AI products to the next level, by creating a functional and usable front-end layer. You will work alongside a globally diverse team, including Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Scientists and Architects.

As a Frontend Developer at DHL, you will be responsible for developing new web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React or Svelte. You'll integrate APIs asynchronously to ensure seamless functionality. Additionally, you'll create and maintain reusable frontend templates and components, enhancing scalability across multiple applications. Your role will involve designing intuitive and visually appealing interfaces, implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, and ensuring secure authentication and authorization mechanisms like SSO and OAuth. You'll apply frontend security practices to protect applications and work within agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React or Svelte
  • Expertise in consuming APIs (also async)
  • Practical experience in frontend testing (e.g., using Playwright)
  • DevOps mindset, including experience in utilizing CI/CD
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization (including SSO and OAuth)
  • Experience in UI/UX design
  • Analytical skills, understanding requirements and customer needs, and independence
  • Several years of experience in development projects, producing sustainable and maintainable code
  • Move ahead by developing standards and reusable solutions, including templates and architectures

Bonus Skills:

  • Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with frontend security concepts and security hardening
  • Backend development experience
  • Experience with Python web development (e.g., using Streamlit or Chainlit)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker containerization
  • Experience with generative AI

You should have:

  • Certifications in some of the core technologies
  • Ability to collaborate across different teams/geographies/stakeholders/levels of seniority
  • Customer focus with an eye on continuous improvement
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and results-oriented personality
  • Ability to coach other team members, you must be a team player!
  • Strong will to overcome the complexities involved in developing and supporting data pipelines

Language requirements:

  • English – Fluent spoken and written
