Frontend/UI Developer - Cairo, Egypt

OHK develops innovative, game-changing web and mobile apps that transform markets and make differences in peoples' lives. The Frontend/UI Developer will join OHK's engineering team and will be responsible for the designing, developing, maintenance, and modification of visually appealing, user-friendly, and functionally robust web applications. The Developer's duties will include:

• Translate use cases and specifications into functional applications, with a focus on consistency and quality of user experience
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in conformity with best practices and our internal engineering conventions
• Deliver front-end systems that are flawlessly interoperable with a spectrum of browsers and devices
• Develop multimedia content
• Optimize application code to achieve the best possible performance, quality, responsiveness, and reliability
• Participate in debugging and unit testing of code
• Document of solutions, including use of flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and the use of consistent code comments according to team standards
• Communicate actively with OHK management and engineering team

• Required Skills: Strong experience across a spectrum of web application development technologies (including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and APIs, etc.); hands-on design experience with web services (REST, SOAP, etc.); demonstrated familiarity with object-oriented design and application frameworks; software debugging and unit testing; demonstrated experience with multimedia production, wireframing and mockups, and graphical asset production; demonstrated experience in web user interface design and familiarity with the tenets of user experience design; written and spoken fluency in English
• Desirable Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment; demonstrated passion for technology and familiarity with the latest development techniques and methodologies
• Desirable Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science desirable
• Desirable Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in software development in team/agile environments. Previous experience with e-commerce, consumer-facing web applications, multi-lingual/internationalization preferred
