Summary Of Responsibilities
This position designs, develops, and maintains USARCENT Public Affairs web and digital properties, ensuring command information is accurate, accessible, secure, and compliant with Army and DoD web policy. The incumbent supports the PAO mission of keeping the American people and the force informed through proactive digital communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update publicfacing and internal command websites and pages, including Army.mil content management and SharePoint sites.
- Perform frontend development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; troubleshoot rendering, performance, and crossbrowser issues.
- Ensure all web products meet Section 508 accessibility standards and applicable DoD/Army web governance policy.
- Produce and integrate graphics, imagery, and multimedia content in support of PAO products and campaigns.
- Coordinate content approval, OPSEC review, and security review before publication.
- Collect and report site analytics and engagement metrics to inform PAO communication strategy.
- Coordinate with the network staff and Information System Security Manager on connectivity, accreditation, and Certificate of Networthiness requirements (PWS 1.9.5.8).
- Maintain all required DoD 8570.01M / DoDD 8140.01 certifications in current status and upload certificates to ATCTS (PWS 1.3.2, 1.9.5.6).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Design, Communications, or a related field. Four (4) additional years of directly relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Minimum three (3) years of professional web development experience.
- DoD or Army web environment experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated portfolio of responsive, accessible websites.
- Must hold the applicable DoD 8570.01M / DoDD 8140.01 baseline certification at the time of hire.
- IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) at the time of hire.
- Computing Environment certifications must be obtained within six (6) months of engagement.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active SECRET clearance required at the time of hire.
- Army.mil content management system experience.
- SharePoint site design and administration.
- Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere).
- Section 508 remediation experience.
- Active CompTIA Security+ CE at time of application.
