Shopify Developer

Nanobag (www.nanobag.com) is looking for an experienced Shopify Developer to help us continuously improve, optimize, and scale our global ecommerce store.

We are an established D2C brand selling ultralight reusable bags worldwide. We are looking for a developer who can take ownership of Shopify development, implement improvements efficiently, and help us create a faster, cleaner, higher-converting shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain our Shopify store and custom theme
• Build and improve product pages, landing pages, collection pages, cart, navigation, and other storefront elements
• Implement new designs and features from Figma or clear briefs
• Customize Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Troubleshoot bugs, theme issues, app conflicts, and tracking problems
• Improve mobile and desktop performance
• Optimize site speed and Core Web Vitals
• Integrate and configure Shopify apps and third-party services
• Implement analytics, pixels, tracking, and ecommerce events when required
• Support international Shopify Markets and localization
• Maintain clean, reliable, and scalable code
• Work closely with our marketing and ecommerce team to quickly launch improvements and experiments

CRO Experience Is Highly Appreciated

We're particularly interested in developers who understand that ecommerce development isn't just about making something work. It should also help customers buy.

Experience with conversion rate optimization is therefore a major advantage.

This could include:

• Implementing A/B and multivariate tests
• Developing CRO experiments quickly without compromising site performance
• Improving product page structure and purchase flows
• Optimizing mobile UX
• Improving add-to-cart and checkout progression
• Increasing AOV through bundles, upsells, cross-sells, and quantity incentives
• Understanding ecommerce metrics such as conversion rate, CTR, ATC rate, checkout rate, AOV, and revenue per visitor
• Experience with testing platforms such as Shopify Rollouts, Intelligems, or similar tools
• Using analytics and test results to help identify further opportunities

You don't need to be our CRO strategist, but we strongly value a developer who understands why we're testing something rather than simply implementing a ticket.

• Strong Shopify development experience
• Excellent knowledge of Shopify Liquid
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
• Experience developing and modifying Shopify themes
• Good understanding of Shopify's theme architecture and APIs
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first development
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to accurately implement Figma designs
• Good understanding of ecommerce UX
• Ability to diagnose problems independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving ecommerce environment
• Clear communication and reliable turnaround times

• Strong CRO experience
• Experience with high-volume D2C brands
• Shopify Markets and international ecommerce experience
• A/B testing experience
• GA4 and Google Tag Manager knowledge
• Meta and Google Ads tracking knowledge

• Familiarity with Git and structured development/deployment workflows
• Experience working with subscription, bundle, review, upsell, and personalization apps
