Robert Half are working with a rapidly growing organisation on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Developer with a strong background in AWS, cloud integration and event-driven architecture. The organisation is actively embracing AI and agentic services, primarily within AWS, with some GCP involvement.
You will play a key role in developing and enhancing a cloud-native middleware platform, building robust system-to-system integrations across a growing technology estate.
Key Skills & Experience- Strong hands-on experience with AWS
- Excellent TypeScript / Node.js and/or Python development experience
- Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, EventBridge and CloudWatch
- Practical knowledge of event-driven architecture
- Experience building scalable, serverless applications
- Strong API and enterprise/system integration experience
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK
- Experience with RDS or DynamoDB
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git-based workflows and DevOps practices
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus and CloudWatch
- Exposure to unit and integration testing
This is a highly collaborative role, working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and subject matter experts.
