Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Lease Auditor is to audit and/or review commercial, retail lease contracts (and related amendments, etc.) and payment information to identify non-compliance and possible overcharges. A further description of essential duties and responsibilities are:
- Document the overpayments, with supporting backup, submit supporting reports to third parties and ensure collection of monies due the company.
- Provide recovery and savings information to management.
- Daily project management of all assigned cost recovery projects/audits.
- Identify and assist in the implementation of process improvements.
- Participate in meetings to present and discuss recovery opportunities, results of recovery activities, and/or to discuss details of claims.
- Participate in cost recovery strategic planning meetings.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Position may further require the ability to perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
- 2-4 years minimum related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Office 365, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required. Knowledge of Lucernex, People Soft A/P & G/L is desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret leases, amendments, other legal documents, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and update tracking/follow-up reports.
- Ability to problem solve complicated situations.
- Cameras must be on for all virtual interviews.
- AI tools are strictly prohibited during interviews or assessments.
Benefits
The annual base salary range is $70,000-$80,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
