Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct day-to-day purchasing, expediting, material acquisition, service contract, and inventory replenishment activities.
- Plan and conduct plant purchasing activities in accordance with established procedures, requirements, and procurement standards.
- Support supply chain projects related to purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain management.
- Develop and implement solutions to purchasing, inventory management, and material availability challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and support to buyers, supply chain personnel, and internal customers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and supply chain process enhancements.
- Interface with peers across Holtec and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide logistics support as needed to support plant operations.
- Independently perform procurement assignments and responsibilities while exercising sound judgment and decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred; Associate degree in a related field of industrial purchasing practices may be considered.
- Master Buyer Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial and nuclear purchasing practices.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) suppliers and manufacturers.
- Understanding of inventory management strategies and techniques.
- Knowledge of logistics and expediting processes.
- Basic understanding of plant equipment, material resource planning, and quality assurance principles preferred.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with materials management software systems; Asset Suite experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
