- Create and refine complex commercial documents with an emphasis on precision and bilingual clarity. Manage all edits and version tracking with extreme attention to detail—ensuring that every clause, definition, and reference is accurate, professionally phrased, and strategically aligned with project objectives.
- Manage complex document iterations using Track Changes. You will be responsible for maintaining the "Master Copy" and ensuring that no unauthorized changes slip through during multi-party exchanges.
- Lead or support negotiations with vendors and clients, focusing on commercial terms, liability frameworks, and delivery milestones.
- Digest high-level technical scopes and translate them into enforceable contractual obligations without requiring deep-dive engineering expertise.
- Identify potential "red flag" clauses (e.g., indemnity, liquidated damages) and propose alternative language to protect the company’s interests.
- Manage critical milestones, including issuing Notices to Proceed (NTP), tracking amendments, and ensuring compliance with contract close-out procedures (contract implementation).
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Technical teams to ensure a 360-degree understanding of project requirements.
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, International Relations, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management.
- Direct experience handling Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of general contract structures, including Limited Liability, Indemnification, Force Majeure, and Termination for Convenience.
- Native or near-native professional English (written and verbal) is mandatory for complex negotiations and drafting. Business profeciency for Bahasa Indonesia. Business proficiency for Chinese is a plus.
- Ability to understand the "big picture" of how a contract affects the company’s bottom line.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and provide logical, structured solutions under pressure.
- A fast learner who can pick up new technical concepts and industry-specific jargon quickly.
- Proven ability to spot inconsistencies in 50+ page documents (e.g., conflicting dates or mismatched clause numbering).
- Comfortable "fronting" a meeting and maintaining a professional, firm, yet collaborative stance during heated negotiations.
