Mechanical Resident Inspector / Engineer

Intertek, a leading international company specializing in Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) services, is seeking a Mechanical Resident Inspector / Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements on-site. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of inspection activities. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed mechanical inspections on-site according to project schedules and requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications. Coordinate with contractors and project teams to monitor progress and report any deviations or non-conformances. Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation. Identify issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems promptly. Support safety procedures and ensure all activities comply with HSE regulations. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection status. Facilitate communication between the client, contractors, and Intertek management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector or Engineer in industrial projects, preferably in the energy or construction sectors. Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and inspection techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Good communication and reporting skills. Willingness to work on-site and travel as required. Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
