Salary Range: Up to $46,500 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Core Responsibilities
- Oversees fiscal, grant, and accounting-related matters for multiple funding sources.
- Oversees and prepares, processes, and checks various electronic accounting documents.
- Analyzes data for accuracy and initiates corrective action when necessary.
- Maintains detailed reports and records of accounting data, including preparing and tracking budgets and preparing billings, financial reports, and related correspondence.
- Assists in the development and preparation of the annual budget for the department.
- Assists faculty and staff with financial administrative matters.
- Provides analysis and interpretation of financial reports and data; provides recommendations for fiscal expenditures and management.
- Assists in the development and implementation of fiscal policies and procedures for the department.
- Provides direction and training to staff regarding fiscal management, policies, and procedures.
- Assists in the coordination and administration of special projects.
- Attends meetings; serves on committees.
- Takes a proactive approach to assist co-workers in various tasks.
- Performs work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with work instructions.
- Proactively makes recommendations to improve safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma.
- At the department’s discretion, a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for four (4) years of experience.
- Five (5) years of related work experience.
- This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
- Experience processing payments, reimbursements, stipends, invoices, or other financial transactions.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy in financial records and data entry.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
