Commercial & Financial Project Manager

You will oversee the financial and commercial aspects of project management, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals, compliance, and financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is critical for driving the project’s financial success, managing cash flow, minimizing risks, and initiating cost-saving programs. The successful candidate will possess strong financial observation, operational understanding of project dynamics, and excellent communication skills to liaise with both local and international teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the financial and commercial performance of large-scale projects, ensuring profitability, cash flow stability, and achievement of business objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage customer and supplier contracts, commercial negotiations, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Drive risk and opportunity management processes, developing mitigation strategies and identifying value-creation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, corporate governance requirements, financial controls, and regulatory standards.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, legal, operations, finance, and executive leadership teams to align commercial and operational goals.
• Oversee foreign exchange exposure and financial risk management strategies to protect project profitability.
• Drive process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and best practices to enhance project efficiency and transparency.

What do you need to qualify for this Job?

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration
• At least 7 years of experience in the finance field within a commercial company
• High level of English proficiency
• Experience in a global company
• Experience as a Financial Lead, Commercial Manager, or Project Controller in complex projects
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Experience working with ERP and various reporting and information systems
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills
