Summary
- Accurately and promptly process reimbursement requests submitted by subrecipients and vendors for Local Programs and Community Services.
- Monitors payment requests made to subrecipients, identifies and resolves reimbursement/payment issues, and prepares close-out reports for projects
- Responsible for processing reimbursement requests for Federal, State and Operating passthrough programs managed by Local Programs & Community Mobility. Review reimbursement requests and support documentation for accuracy, ensure requested amounts are within budget limits, process Oracle receipts and forward requests to Accounts Payable for payment release.
- Monitors reimbursement requests in Oracle Financial System to ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
- Initiates purchase and check requisitions for subrecipient contracts, consultant services and vehicle purchases.
- Initiates and maintains financial spreadsheets for tracking reimbursement requests, provides support to Local Programs Unit with any and all issues related to reimbursements and working with Accounts Payable in resolving payment and check issues.
- Prepares annual close-out reports for Casino Revenue, Section 5311 and 5310 subrecipient contracts reconciling reimbursement requests amounts to annual allocations versus Oracle payments.
- Performs other duties as required by Community Mobility.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or related area and three (3) years of applied accounting experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with generally accepted budgeting, accounting, and reporting principles and practices required.
- Proficient computer skills in Excel and Word required.
- Working knowledge of financial systems such as Oracle is desired
