Fleet, Procurement and Facilities provide department-wide level of support within the fields of Fleet, Procurement, GROH Housing and the management of the Kensington Facilities.We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Procurement Officer to join our team.
Reporting to the Principal Procurement Officer, this position:
- Develops contracts for low to medium-value, low to medium-risk requirements and may be involved with high-value, high-risk procurement activities under supervision, or in a supporting role. This role provides advice to various stakeholders on procurement policy, procurement planning, contract formation and/or contract management activities.
- Develops procurement and contract management plans, risk reports, routine contract documentation and evaluation reports as well as assisting with other contract development and contract management requirements.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following six (6) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total.
- Demonstrated experience in contract development and/or management of medium complexity contracts OR relevant project management experience.
- Demonstrated effective written communication skills, with the ability to prepare procurement and technical documents and the ability to communicate procurement issues to stakeholders.
- Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise and consult effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively to achieve common goals, best practice, and contribute to continuous business improvement and innovation.
- Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including initiative.
- Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage diverse workload and mitigate risks to achieve quality outcomes that address individual customer/business requirements.

Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will need to possess or obtain:
