An established and highly respected General Contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team in West Palm Beach. The Opportunity

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate budgets and competitive bids while supporting the preconstruction process from conceptual design through project award. You will collaborate closely with operations, project management, design teams, and trade partners to drive successful outcomes.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a General Contractor.
• Experience estimating commercial construction projects, including:
• Commercial
• Multifamily
• Hospitality
• Healthcare
• Education
• Retail
• Experience with both ground-up and renovation projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, conceptual budgets, and bid proposals.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify project costs and risks.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed pricing analysis.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Develop scope sheets and bid packages.
• Support value engineering initiatives and cost-saving recommendations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and budgeting exercises during preconstruction.
• Collaborate with project executives, project managers, architects, and consultants.
• Participate in estimate reviews, client presentations, and bid interviews.
• Assist in identifying project risks and opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior estimating staff as needed.

• Proven experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction systems, materials, and procurement strategies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with:
• Bluebeam
• On-Screen Takeoff
• Procore
• Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Base Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
