How You’ll Make An Impact
- Monitor and control project costs against budget, identifying and analyzing variances.
- Prepare and manage project financial reporting, including monthly forecasts, cash flow analysis, and profitability statements.
- Oversee the project invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in alignment with contractual terms.
- Maintain the project's work breakdown structure and code of accounts for accurate cost allocation and tracking.
- Support project closure activities, including final cost reporting and financial reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates based on contractual data, scope of work, and historical data.
- Analyze and evaluate the financial impact of scope changes, contract variations, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with planning and scheduling teams to provide input for cost-loaded schedules and preliminary cost curves.
- Perform cost trend analysis and value engineering studies to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Liaise closely with project managers, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure financial alignment and provide decision support.
- Serve as the primary financial point of contact for the UK project team, providing real-time support and guidance.
- Ensure all project financial activities adhere to UK-specific finance and regulatory standards.
- Communicate project financial status, risks, and opportunities to internal management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Typically requires 2-5 years of experience in project controlling, cost estimation, or a similar financial role within a project-based environment, such as energy or large-scale construction.
- Skills in financial and project management, including budgeting, forecasting, project cost estimation, invoicing, risk management, project documentation, and project scoping to support effective planning, financial control, and successful project delivery.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to evaluate complex information, solve problems, and apply technical knowledge to support effective decision‑making, process improvement, and business objectives.
- Effective behavioral and collaboration skills, including accountability, influencing abilities, and a commitment to ethical standards and professional conduct to foster trust, support stakeholder engagement, and drive responsible business outcomes.
