Our client, a leader in the power sports industry, is seeking an experienced Procurement & Sourcing Specialist for a 12+ month contract assignment in Medina, MN. This role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week onsite.
Job Summary
Our client designs and manufactures a wide array of off-road vehicles, on-road vehicles, snowmobiles and accessories. The Specialist will support enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives for Engineering Capital Equipment, Technology, and Services. This role is responsible for supporting the full Source-to-Contract lifecycle, including stakeholder engagement, sourcing strategy development, RFx execution, commercial negotiations, contract administration, supplier risk assessments, and compliance oversight.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Engineering, IT, Operations, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to drive cost optimization, mitigate supplier risk, ensure policy compliance, and deliver value through strategic sourcing initiatives. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, contract management experience, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects across a diverse supplier portfolio.
Primary Duties:
- Support Source-to-Contract activities for Engineering Capital Equipment, Technology, and Services categories.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and deliver competitive procurement solutions.
- Prepare and execute Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and supplier benchmarking activities.
- Support commercial negotiations including pricing, payment terms, service levels, warranties, intellectual property protections, and contractual risk mitigation provisions.
- Collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders to negotiate, redline, and execute contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), technology agreements, and supplier amendments.
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, delegated authority requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Analyze spend data, contract compliance, and sourcing opportunities to generate actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain sourcing dashboards, reports, and data extracts to support strategic decision-making and leadership reviews.
- Drive cost reduction, contract consolidation, and process improvement initiatives across assigned categories.
- Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while meeting business objectives and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 3-5 years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, vendor management, contract management, or related experience.
- Experience supporting Engineering Capital Equipment, Information Technology, Services, or other indirect spend categories preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full Source-to-Contract lifecycle.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Experience conducting supplier risk assessments, commercial analysis, and contract reviews.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple systems and sources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Experience working with ERP, procurement, contract lifecycle management, or supplier relationship management systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement compliance, contracting fundamentals, and sourcing best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience negotiating purchases related to capital equipment, technology, industrial services and professional service contracts.
- Knowledge of supplier onboarding, contract governance, and risk management processes.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or technology categories.
Pay Rate: $44 - 49 per hour
