Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for a Project Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, driven, and organized. This company offers internal growth opportunities, flexibility, and a collaborative team. This position can be hybrid after training is completed.

The salary for this position is up to $90K.

The Project Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and maintain project records within the ERP system, including cost codes, contracts, budgets, change orders, etc.
• Monitor and analyze project costs, committed costs, labor, equipment, and other project-related financial activity.
• Review project transactions for accuracy, proper cost coding, and compliance with company accounting procedures.
• Prepare and process customer billings, including progress billings, time and material billings.
• Support monthly revenue recognition, work-in-progress reporting, project accounting schedules, and assigned month-end close activities.
• Support job cost analysis, forecasting, profitability reviews, variance explanations, and financial reporting.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances, assist with collections follow-up, resolve billing issues, and support documentation requirements.

The Project Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or similar construction ERP system preferred, with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and shift focus often with ease
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
