Commercial Operations Analyst

The Commercial Operations Analyst will support WaterBridge's Commercial Operations team across pricing, contract analysis, financial modeling, and business development. This is a high-visibility role that works directly with commercial leadership and interfaces regularly with finance, engineering, and operations. The right candidate is comfortable moving between detailed financial models and clear recommendations, with some exposure to customer-facing work as needed.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with operations and corporate engineering on produced water takeaway and supply project scopes
- Track and analyze customer volumes, revenue, and performance of the supply business
- Problem solve and help with strategy to maximize supply opportunities across company
- Assist operations with optimizing produced water takeaway commercial opportunities
- Support customer relationship management in coordination with senior commercial staff through tracking and maintaining project timelines and regular updates on projects
- Assist in the development and execution of business development initiatives, including preparation of term sheets, proposals, and presentations for prospective customers
- Assist in the aggregation of market activity and commercial opportunities to drive further growth
- Build and maintain financial and operational models to evaluate commercial opportunities, including new company projects, customer contracts, volume commitments, and rate structures
- Support contract negotiations by preparing economic analyses, scenario runs, and pricing proposals
- Work cross-functionally with operations, land, finance, accounting and legal to ensure contract terms are accurately captured and executed
- Prepare regular reporting packages for internal stakeholders and senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in O&G operations, commercial, or analytical role
- Experience and working knowledge of both upstream and midstream operations
- Experience using Enverus to export and analyze permit activity, rig counts, DUCs, remaining inventory, production profiles, and offset operator activity
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences, with proficiency in PowerPoint
- Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple groups
- Strong skills in Excel; experience with financial models
- Basic ability to read and understand contract structures
- Working knowledge of discounted cash flow analysis and return metrics including IRR, NPV, FCF yield, and MOIC
- Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy
- Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment.
