What does the job look like?

Linfox is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our Group Commercial team based at Essendon Fields on a 2-year maximum term contract.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening commercial governance by reviewing business cases, pricing models and contract performance across multiple business units. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with complex financial models and influencing business decisions.

In this role, you will:

• Review commercial models, pricing submissions and business cases to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with commercial standards.
• Validate assumptions, calculations, pricing methodologies and profitability outcomes to support informed decision-making.
• Identify commercial, operational and financial risks and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and analyse contract performance against business case assumptions.
• Support tender, pricing, contract renewal and investment assessments through scenario and profitability analysis.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of commercial governance frameworks, standardised cost models and reporting tools.

Are you the one?

You are a naturally curious and detail-oriented analyst who enjoys challenging assumptions, reviewing complex models and uncovering commercial insights. You bring a strong financial and commercial foundation, along with the confidence to engage with stakeholders and influence outcomes.

You can demonstrate:

• Experience in a Commercial Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Finance Analyst or similar commercially focused role.
• Strong financial modelling capability with the ability to review, validate and challenge pricing and business case models.
• Experience supporting tenders, pricing reviews, contract evaluations or commercial decision-making.
• Ability to analyse financial performance and translate data into actionable commercial insights.
• Exposure to industries such as aviation, manufacturing, retail, FMCG, logistics or other customer-focused environments.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
