About the role
The person to be hired is responsible on contract administration, claims & dispute resolution, variation and change management, compliance and reporting and risk management.
Key Accountabilities
- Contract Administration: Manage day-to-day contract correspondence, ensuring all obligations and procedures strictly adhere to FIDIC clauses.
- Claims & Dispute Resolution: Evaluate contractor claims, assess extensions of time, and manage resolutions under the Engineer's determinations.
- Variation & Change Management: Assess, negotiate, and document project variations and change orders while protecting the company's bottom line.
- Compliance & Reporting: Monitor project timelines, draft performance reports for management, and ensure bond and insurance requirements are consistently met.
- Risk Management: Identify potential commercial risks, notify senior directors, and advise project managers on legal and operational implications.
Qualities, Skills and Experience
- Graduate of Civil Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management
- With 5 to 15 years of professional construction or infrastructure project management, with a heavy emphasis on handling contracts.
- Good communication skills
