Position Description

Coordinates a section in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program or departmental project as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and/or students.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Operational Program Support - Supports departmental operational programs by coordinating administrative activities for assigned functional areas including project management, scheduling operations, EHR initiatives, and other strategic programs.Operational Program Support - Supports departmental operational programs by coordinating administrative activities for assigned functional areas including project management, scheduling operations, EHR initiatives, and other strategic programs.
  • Administrative Operations - Coordinates departmental administrative operations to support efficient business functions.
  • Customer Service & Communication - Provides responsive administrative support and serves as a liaison for departmental customers and stakeholders.

Occasional Duties

  • Continuous Improvement - Supports continuous improvement of departmental operations through organization, documentation, and process enhancement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance requirements, and process improvement methodologies.
  • 3+ years experience in MS Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • 1+ years in developing project charters, work breakdown structures, risk registers, and communication plans.
