Responsibilities:
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Prepare tender submissions, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and procurement schedules
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses
- Assess and manage risks associated with potential projects
- Assist in value engineering and cost-control exercises during project execution
- Maintain a database of cost information and assist in post-project reviews
- Update and manage estimating database on varying construction costs and material fluctuations
- Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners
- Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
- Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
- A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in estimating roles within the construction or manufacturing sectors
- Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, procurement processes, and building regulations
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
