The ARM Energy Midstream group is seeking a Finance professional to join our team in the Houston office, as we continue to deploy capital within the midstream energy value chain across North America. In addition to investment opportunities, we are focused on delivering outstanding support services to our clients and financial partners by pushing for continuous process improvement across Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Accounting, Planning, Reporting, and Treasury initiatives. The core team is comprised of industry veterans with decades of combined experience successfully building and leading groups of motivated individuals to achieve their goals and develop the skills necessary for establishing solid career.

Overview:

This position reports to the Director of Midstream Finance with line of sight to the Chief Financial Officer and President of Midstream. The position will be part of a core team supporting the needs of our midstream business development unit, as well as the broader corporate group including visibility to all opportunities evaluated by ARM Energy Holdings. This individual will be expected to balance a variety of responsibilities and daily projects with an emphasis on timeline execution, delivering an outstanding work product on a consistent basis. The position offers a foundation in business development and corporate finance careers with experience in commercial, financial, and M&A transactions, as well as project execution. The position and resulting career opportunities are dependent upon the individual’s personal motivation and desire to succeed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support midstream and finance leadership in planning and evaluation analysis across the ARM Energy portfolio, mostly focused on Midstream with occasional exposure to marketing and trading
  • Assist in the evaluation of select new transactions, including corporate and business development initiatives as well as other high value opportunities including transaction valuation and due diligence
    • Financial model diligence, construction, and analysis; enhancing existing modelling and analysis capabilities
    • Presentation development for Board of Directors, partners, sponsors, financial counterparties, and management
    • Coordinating with advisors on potential acquisitions and divestitures and strategic capital markets initiatives
    • Support management with in-depth and ad hoc analysis
  • Establish, evaluate, and challenge budgets and forecasts across the organization; identify opportunities supporting new strategic objectives

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Intimate knowledge of financial valuation methodologies, model construction, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal); shows a willingness to interact with individuals across the entire company synthesizing information and offering creative summaries as well as solutions where needed
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated
  • Ability to clearly express ideas to internal and external constituents of varying skill levels and understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members across the organization; strong collaborator
  • Potential to travel on an infrequent basis
  • Working knowledge of the energy industry, direct midstream experience highly preferred

Requirements:

  • Combined +2-3 years of Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, and /or Private Equity experience with an emphasis on the Energy industry, with midstream experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field
