Project Controller

Rapidly growing organization in North Houston is looking to add an experienced Project Controller to their team! This role will partner closely with Project Management, Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Accounting and the Executive Leadership team.

The responsibilities will include the following:

• Serve as the primary FP&A financial partner to the Commercial Team, Project Managers and business leaders

• Provide financial oversight and analysis throughout the project lifecycle, from initial business case and investment evaluation through execution and completion.

• Partner with Commercial Team & Project Managers to establish project budgets, forecasts, cost expectations, and financial performance targets.

• Develop and maintain accurate Estimate-at-Completion forecasts and provide ongoing analysis of project cost and margin performance.

• Monitor project revenue, direct costs, gross margin, EBITDA, capital expenditures, and cash flow.

• Analyze project cost trends and identify emerging risks, margin erosion, and opportunities for improvement.

• Evaluate actual performance against budget, forecast, prior periods, and project expectations.

• Support capital project financial tracking, investment analysis, and return-on-investment assessments.

• Establish consistent project financial reporting and performance methodologies across the organization.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field with 7+ years progressive experience in FP&A, project finance, project controls. Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis and profitability analysis.
