Program Financial Analyst

This role will develop into a key member of MDS' program team, using corporate tools and resources to help the team understand forecasting and financial execution of programs. Candidate will bring a strong understanding of program controls, general understanding of government contracting, and the ability to develop financial models and reports based on corporate guidance and program requirements.
Tasking Will Include
- Review incurred costs and forecast future expenditures using labor productivity, material price forecasts, subcontract agreements, and other relevant data to provide timely financial updates to program leadership
- Developing project budgets, baselines, and funding, including calculating estimates to complete (ETC/EAC) – while considering schedules and deliverables
- Support pricing and proposal activities - specifically working as the POC between corporate pricing and program management for smaller, quick turn cost estimates
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and control of work breakdown structures (WBS) and project set-up activities to ensure compliant cost charging, billing, and revenue recognition
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's Degree in Business (or relevant discipline) and at least 1 year of experience in program controls or related role supporting a federal contractor (additional experience may substitute for degree)
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office
- Preferred candidate will have a strong analytical ability, including using scripting tools to develop relevant financial reports
- Experience with Deltek is a plus
